Huffy Signs Global BMX Champions Miharu Ozawa and Josh Dove to Pro Team

X Games Gold Medalist and Battle of Hastings Winner Join Huffy to Drive Freestyle’s Next Era

DAYTON, Ohio – September 18th, 2026 – Huffy, a Covation/United Wheels brand, today announces that Japanese BMX freestyle rider Miharu Ozawa and Australian freestyle rider Josh Dove have become the latest athletes to join its global BMX Pro Team roster.

Sixteen-year-old Ozawa made history as the youngest rider to win two FISE World Cups and three X Games Gold Medals. During the 2025 season, the Japanese athlete won the UCI Overall World Cup title, secured the top global ranking, and earned Bloom Rider of the Year. Known for consistently landing inverted tricks in competition, she carried that momentum into 2026 as the youngest competitor in the Sacramento X Games women’s BMX Park field, where she also became the first rookie to win all three X Games stops in a single season and the only rookie to represent XC Tokyo.

23-year-old Josh Dove, from Brisbane, Australia, has established himself as one of the most dynamic powerhouses in modern freestyle BMX. A former “King of ACT” Champion, 3x Battle of Hastings Winner, and X Games competitor, Dove has earned major international victories including top honors at the SourceBMX Battle of Hastings team event in 2023 and winning the Vans BMX Pro Cup Sydney Regional Qualifier in 2019.

“We are beyond excited and honored to welcome both Miharu and Josh to the Huffy family,” said Nic Long, Huffy BMX Team Captain. “Miharu’s incredible level of technical progression and Josh’s raw power, style, and competitive drive show exactly where the future of Huffy BMX is heading.”

Signing Ozawa and Dove reinforces Huffy’s focus on building and supporting the sport. What began as building a new Pro team has evolved into a line of Pro Models including the Sledgehammer, Primus, and Pro Lightning, demonstrating Huffy’s dedication to inspiring the next generation of BMX riders.
