Huffy Owner Offering Demo Events and New HQ Ribbon Cutting in Newmarket
NEWMARKET, Ontario — May 20, 2026 — United Wheels Canada Limited, the parent company of Huffy and Batch Bicycles, today announces events to celebrate Canada’s National Bike Month with Newmarket Bike Day and a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the grand opening of its new Canadian headquarters.
The celebration kicks off on June 6th with Newmarket Bike Day during Canada’s National Bike Month, organized by Central York Chamber of Commerce with Huffy as title sponsor. This community-focused event will host dedicated Huffy and Batch tents, offering adults and kids the opportunity to check out the latest 2026 models and demo them firsthand to experience the newest innovations in cycling.
“Newmarket is our home and Bike Day is the perfect event to connect with the community and showcase the latest innovations from kids’ bikes to eBikes and more,” said Chris Telfer, General Manager, United Wheels Canada Limited. “At United Wheels, we believe that high-quality bikes should be fun and affordable for everyone, and to that end, we’re focused on supporting the local community and helping get more people excited about riding and enjoying the outdoors.”
The Newmarket Bike Day events will take place on June 6 from 9am to 11am at All Our Kids (AOK) Park, 535 Timothy St.
On June 9, United Wheels will celebrate the grand opening of its new Canadian headquarters. The newly renovated 7,500-square-foot facility in Newmarket will feature a dedicated showroom and an optimized parts warehouse designed to accommodate future growth and United Wheels’ continued support of retail partners across Canada.
United Wheels CEO Bruno Maier, Senior Vice President of Global Sales Mike O’Gara, and Newmarket Mayor John Taylor will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
